What we collect

• Order details you enter to create documents (names, addresses, pay and tax figures, the last 4 digits of an SSN or TIN). We never ask for a full SSN for pay stubs or recipient copies. A W-9 is prepared entirely in your browser and its taxpayer ID never reaches us.
• Your email, to deliver documents, receipts, optional reminders and support replies.
• Payment is processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Checkout confirmation: when you accept the accuracy and final-sale terms we record the time and your IP address with the order.
• Usage analytics: first-party events such as page views and checkout steps, without names, emails, wages or tax IDs.

How we protect it

Document details are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Files are stored privately and are only reachable through signed links that expire after 15 minutes; your order link uses a private token kept in the URL fragment, which browsers do not send to servers.

How long we keep it

Generated files and document details are deleted 120 days after your order (downloads are available for 90). Order totals are kept for bookkeeping. Abandoned, unpaid drafts on our servers are deleted after 7 days. Drafts saved in your browser stay on your device until you clear them.

What we never do

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not use your documents to advertise to you.

Your choices

You can turn off reminders at any time, ask us to delete an order early, or request a copy of what we hold by emailing hello@paystubshop.com.

Support conversations

Chat and email support is answered by our virtual assistant and, when needed, our team. Messages are stored with sensitive numbers redacted and deleted after 180 days.
